PS Wagga Wagga Viewing Platform
140 Lizard Drive, Narrandera NSW 2700
Today, you can catch a glimpse of this iconic wreck from the viewing platform where informational signage tells the story of its journey. Just a heads-up — it's best to visit when water levels are low to get a look at the wreck itself.
For 40 years, it carried timber, wool, and provisions between Mildura and Wagga Wagga. Sadly, in 1913, the steamer sprung a leak and ran aground on a sandbar, left to slowly fade into the river's history. A true piece of local history, the PS Wagga Wagga remains a reminder of the river’s once-thriving paddle steamer days.
