Parkside Cottage Museum
Corner of Cadell and Twynam Streets, Narrandera NSW 2700
Housed in a charming century-old timber cottage, the museum was established in 1968 and showcases an eclectic collection from Narrandera and surrounding areas. Among its highlights is the fascinating private collection of the late Dr. H.O. Lethbridge.
Explore the story of early riverboat trade along the Murrumbidgee with navigation maps from Captain T. Bynon and discover rare artifacts like a snowshoe and wooden snow ski from Scott’s Antarctic Expedition.
You’ll find everything historic clothing to agricultural tools on display. One of the museum's standout pieces is the scarlet-coloured merino cloak – the only one of its kind in the world. Made from the first bale of wool sent to England by the Macarthur family in 1816, it’s a piece of history.
