Traces of the Landscape: Nature Journalling & Mixed Media Layers Workshop

  • Arts Hub Narrandera Railway Station Narrandera, NSW, 2700 Australia (map)

Join Sophie Chauncey for a creative workshop inspired by the Riverina’s natural beauty. Across two relaxed evening sessions, you’ll explore nature journalling through layered mixed-media techniques.

  1. Thursday 12 March 2026, 6-8pm AND

  2. Thursday 19 March 2026, 6-8pm

Learn to observe and gather inspiration from local river systems and plant life, then translate these impressions into expressive journal pages using watercolour, ink, graphite, charcoal and simple mark-making tools.

Participants will experiment with incorporating natural materials like leaves and feathers as stencils or drawing tools, building confidence in visual expression. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have several completed journal spreads and a deeper connection to the quiet stories of the landscape. Suitable for beginners and experienced makers alike, just bring your curiosity!

The workshops are relaxed, accessible and suitable for beginners through to more experienced makers.

The workshop is for adults and progressive over 2 sessions and you need to be able to attend both sessions. Ticket price includes both sessions.
