Mark your calendars! Koala Festival returns to Narrandera on 18+19 September 2027.

Each spring, Narrandera’s Koala Festival gives you rare access to one of Australia’s most successful conservation stories. More than 300 wild koalas live high in the surrounding river red gums, and this is your chance to see them up close!

Across the weekend, you’ll find guided bushwalks, expert talks, live music, artisan markets, and thoughtfully curated experiences.

On Sunday, take part in the annual Koala Count — a coordinated conservation effort that brings you into the field. Expert guides will take you off the beaten track inside the Flora and Fauna Reserve, offering practical guidance, local knowledge, and the best tips for spotting koalas.
