Country Cooking, Coffee & Collectables
Set inside a character-filled former hotel on Whitton Street, Hall’s Cuisine & Collectables is, as the name implies, part cafe, part treasure-trove. Natural light pours into rooms filled with vintage treasures, curiosities and pieces collected over time.
A grand old building with a story
Built as a hotel in the 1940s and once operated by Ted Hall, the building has lived several lives, including time as a boarding house after World War II. Today, it’s current owners Rebekah and Dean, are gradually restoring the grand old girl while allowing its history and personality to remain part of the experience.
Hall’s Cuisine & Collectables grew from that restoration project: a business combining good food, old treasures and a genuine sense of welcome.
Country cooking with heart
A chef by trade, Rebekah serves generous, beautifully prepared food with the warmth of a home-cooked meal. It’s a menu made for unhurried brunches, relaxed lunches and catching up over coffee.
Rebekah prepares freshly cooked meals Tuesday through Friday. On Monday, the doors are closed but the kitchen is still hard at work, preparing meals for Meals on Wheels, extending their familiar home-style cooking beyond the cafe and into the local community.
Browse between bites
Shelves and cabinets are filled with vintage pieces waiting to be discovered, giving visitors plenty to explore before or after their meal. It’s a cafe experience with a little treasure hunt built in. More than anything, Hall’s reflects the people behind it. Like it’s owners, Halls Cuisine and Collectables is warm, wonderfully individual and full of character. Stop by for a coffee, settle in for a country-sized meal and leave yourself plenty of time to browse.
